Diagphram Spring????
#1
As I mention on a previous post, I found out I have a broken diagphram spring in my right carb...this spring is under the black cover on the top part of the carbs. Looks like it keeps pressure on the needles, not sure though. Will a broken spring cause poor performance? Because I was trying to go up a dune at Gordons Well and couldnt, when I finally made it (going a bit sideways) a 400ex made it up at the same pace I did Any one know?

Yes it will, the carb with the broken spring was allowing more fuel into the carb causing a rich condition. Replace them with a new set of two of get Dynojet springs, I used them and they workrd well.

Would it be ok if I used the stock springs? I ordered 2 from Yamaha, but if the DJ are better, I will just buy those instead.
