My blaster was runnin like crap, and the bore was past its wear limit so I bore it and rebuilt it. Put it all back together right, and after an hour of kicking and changing plugs it still wont start. Cleaned the carb out good. It is getting spark. The reeds are fine. its got air, and good compression. even starter fluid it wont fire.It dosent back fire when i kick it or make any other wierd noises so I highly dout the timing is off... Dose ANYBODY have any idea as to what it could be.?? I have never had a problem with a rebuild before, and im stumped...

 

do you have gas? lol....

i remeber one time I freaked out cuz I thought i broke something but I was just out of gas.


Check all hoses and everything. I have no clue what would be wrong though.

 

geez thats odd.. id go thru everything thing again.. make sure every thing is hooked up.
it odd that its getting spark but it still wont fire up with starter fluid...

 

I went throw everything at least 4 times. Dose anybody think it could be the CDI box??

 

do blasters have CDI boxes? Well did you try pull starting it or push starting? I dont know what it could be.

are you sure you didnt put your piston in backwards? LOL check the cylinder base gasket, exhaust gasket, and reeds, if i remember correctly a blaster doesnt have a CDI but rather a magneto now if its none of those problems CHECK YOUR FLYWHEEL KEY, i didnt tighten the nut all the way when i rebuilt my blaster engine and nothing happened at first but then one day it sheared and i was dubfounded, utterly dumbfounded until i took the flywheel cover off and saw the nut came off, shearing the key

 

ya me and my buddy were talking about this and that was all we could think of also.

 

Tryed push starting it but didnt even think about starting. I also did already check the key way but that was fine too, and if i put the piston in backwards (witch i have on a blaster before lol) it would just idle liek it was at 3/4 throttle. The manual says it has a cdi and a magneito??. I called one of my freinds and he said the cdi is probably junk, and that it would still get spark but just not the right kind or way..?? I have another balster luckly and im just going to switch them and see what happends.
