Raptor-Pursuit of Performace Perfection
#12
Hey 400 freak don't get your panties in an uproar my best freind owns a ds650 and can't even out run my warrior in a tight woods. The thing is so big it rides like my dads john deere. On a straight away is where its at it will pass anything in top gear outthere until the raptor. Give them credit for trying to hit the market big but they have a long way to go to catch the expertise of companies like yamaha and honda that have been in this market for decades. All manufactures pick there time when to step up to the plate yamaha picked the best time to unlease this quad after a dissapointing ds650 sales. This quad has been three plus years in the making. Yamaha will destoy all sales againt the raptor competitors. Yamaha's look alone hands down beats its competition and thats not to mention the performance and reliability their known for. If I where you I'd trade in that 400 for a 2001 Raptor or wait a couple years for a new and bigger honda. Hopefully honda too will step up in the pursuit of performance perfection. Peace out!

Sorry man Kawasaki Atv's suck. Even if you like that 2-stoke 250 what else do they got. And I sincerely doubt that bike could beat a banshee. Get rel. There's only two companies worth havin yamaha or honda either way you made a good choice. Don't waste your $ on some 250 unless your like 15 years old.

I hate to tell you this but yamaha said they specifically set out to designing a atv that would outperform any current bike out there including their own banshee. With a few mods on the raptor I'm sure it will beat your so nicely modified banshee. Don't worry though the banshee still rocks in the 2 stroke world.

WAR99,
Race a Tecate-4 sometime if you can find one. The fact is Kawasaki made the meanest quad ever to date. If they are going to get back into the sport quad market it wouldn't surprise if they do it in a big way. I think they are going to wait to see how good the Raptor is & then beat it. Also, I wouldn't name one guy & then say Honda doesn't win races. And, obviously you've never seen a modded Banshee. 660cc or not, I bet Roostkings Banshee could smoke a Raptor.
Roostking, you seem like a smart guy, inform this kid of Kawasaki's awesome Tecate-4 they made 10+ years ago. He says Kawasaki ATV's suck though so I guess it sucked, nevermind. WAR99, You are getting way to hopped up on a yet to be released quad. Like another person said, if you want to do that than there is nothing close to the Cannondale.
Roostking & Fakie, Don't worry you guys still are OK in the 2 stroke world. I'd suggest you sell those slow Banshees & go buy an unproven quad right away. This WAR99 sounds like some expert take his advice!
