were not going to start this again, I beat him and he beat me and that is it, and raptorowner there was never a 2 bike length lead at any point while i was there.....Maybe at pismo this summer but not at Dumont, and yes you would get me out the hole on the left hill but never by 2 bikes....
And taft im sorry we dident meet either or else you would understand....
Wait till i get the 39FCRs from Craycraft, then it should be a little faster,im still on the good ol stock carbs baby....
and the battle continues..LOL It was some good racing,I kept getting beat by those dang Ds's...

Hey rapfam I really like those flags that your uncle and dad are running on their curtis bikes. '03 I didn't mean anything by that question, just razzing you. I had just talked to Darin before I posted, already knew the answer.

the sparks' bikes are running the midrange cam
same compression, My craycraft has a larger airfilter and both have elimintated air boxes(I haven't seen anything under the seat...yet)
They were 142/148 and I was 148/150 due to larger air filters I think.
Yes I was running taller gears. I'm going to gear down a bit and see how I do. I thought I had the same gearing but I was a two tooth difference.
I wonder where they got those flags They stand out well
I guess we will see at 4SWII to get the next answer.
We still have about three videos to post still, hopefully tonight

Here's the last 2 videos.
Raptorfam660's sister racing up Lizard slide. 2.1mb
Raptorfam660's sister racing a motion sports built 686. 1.2mb
Raptorfam660. I agree about the gearing issue. Try the same as pops. 12/43 I believe it was. Start there and see if it makes a difference. Also, next time, even before you change gears if possible. Switch rides and see if he still beats you up the hill while on your quad. These jet sizes you talk of. Are they dyno jet sizes? Or are you useing the FCR's or what?

I'm running the fcr's right now. Actually all three of us are. My sis is quick, she is so light she flys up the hills.
She can take my bike up china wall and scream in fourth gear, also mastered the whoops of olds

Raptor660fam - Unless you are mixing funny fuel, I think you are jetted too rich. In my 12:1 Stage 2 Craycraft with Sparks FCRs, full Yoshi, Pro Design adapter, K&N no lid, and VP c12 - 145/148 is a chocolate plug, 142/148 is a tan plug, and 142/145 has no color at all. I use a hand held 20x microscope to look at the base ring and down inside the plug where the porcelain meets the plug body, those two places are the only accurate way to read a plug. All of those jetting combinations run without a top end blubber but I have to run a JR10B plug to keep the heat under control with the 142/145 jetting. With 142/145 and my high gearing (12/40 with 18" rear tires), I am hitting the rev limiter before the motor quits pulling. Play with your jetting and gearing, I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised.
