right..........
you will just have to make sure that everything is done properly
the oil is changed regularly
and the jetting is not lean.........

I did a 11:1 piston w/ stage two cam and the only problem I have is the starter won't crank it over everytime. I run 50/50 race gas and it loves it.

You should set aside some money for a better clutch. Other than that, keep a close eye on the jetting so you spare the rod and piston unnecessary abuse.

I would stick with the stage I cam when using an 11:1 piston. The stage II requires hd valve springs, more freq valve lash adjustments, & a close eye on everything else already mentioned. Try the 11:1 with stage I cam, maybe try some head porting in the future as well. Then in a year or two if you are bored with the power, try the stage II cam & hd spings. Don't forget, the power is mostly top end with the stage II cam. The stage I gives a better mid power hit, more useable for most trail riders. If you are determined to use the stage II cam, I would also use a 12:1 piston to assure a good bottom end.
JMO. Check out my dyno graphs for what the stage I can do for you.

Just for an FYI I also have a dyno chart posted. Mine is with a 686 stage 2 cam. It's gonna be different with the larger bore and FCRs but you can get some idea of where the stage 2 makes power. Mine's also an 01 still running the stock transmission and the only tearing up I do is eating clutches. You can expect to go through a couple every now and then with a higher powered engine.
