If i was to do it over again i would not buy it. I have one on my DS...and well....cant tell a difference to be honest I put the temp gauge on it and the only reason it dropped is casue the purple ice i think. Try it if you want but $25 is a lot for takin a chance

Maybe I'll just put Engine Ice in my Radiator and be done with it.

CFM makes some big 20 fin inline coolers that do make a 10 degree difference. Also, If temperature if freezing temps is rarely and issue, use purple ice or redline water wetter, will drop temps better than engine ice, all you add is a couple cap fulls with straight distilled water.

Does engine ice have freeze protection?

I've got straight Engine Ice in my Raptor and it does get below freezing sometimes here in good 'ol TEXAS.

Should I drain it, flush, and re-fill with regular coolant for the winter?

I've been running Engine-Ice in my grizzly for about a year now, seems to work ok. On the bottle it says it's good to around -24F. So living in Texas your good to go.

the thermostats keep the motor at opperating temp. if the motor is hot and the thermostats are open promoting circulation I don't think a 2 or 4 inch finned tube will make a difference. not enought surface area. I would spend my money on the higher quality more advanced coolent or a larger radiator.

i drained the factory coolant out of my yfz450 and added the engine ice and a cfm 20 fin inline cooler...
not a lot of money for the added insurance...remember...heat is the enemy of horsepower!

Who has an oil cooler on there Raptor? I run 2 coolers, engene ice and going to add a oil cooler. I like to run hard and don't want to worry about heat. I don't want a temp gauge because I would be looking at it all the time.
