I do a lot of drag racing with my buddies
but the majority of the ridding I do is just wide open down dirt roads or small county roads......
no technical trails or anything......

do you think I could still get my front end up, with the JTM extension, if I needed to?

 

The extra .5" out back is not gonna make a huge difference going from 4". Using my lesser powered bike as a baseline, your Raptor SHOULD easily pull the front wheels when necessary. If not, you have some tuning problems...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img].

 

that is very possible considering I just changed from dyno jet to mikuni.........and haven't got a chance to run it yet........

WHen my bike had the stock swingarm, 4th gear wheelies were too easy and a tug on the bars brought the front end up in 5th with 13/40 gearing and 22" tall rear Shredders. Note this was basically mid range RPM's. Nothing has changed since the swingarm change and you have read how the machine does now in my earlier post. Maybe that will give you some insight on how your machine will react with the extension in place.

 

I have the JTM with my 686 and really like it. I play in the sand, lots of dunen, shoot the hills and drag some also. I went to Ocotillo not to long ago, which is hard pack used my stock tires. I would hit my rev limiter though the gears, maybe other tires would hook up better. But like I said, I like the sand and it works great for all the fun in the sand things I like to do.
