Default 02 660 grizzly sputters in water

I have a 02 grizzly that sputters a lot when driving in water. Has anyone figured out a solution to this problem. I heard that they fixed the problem on the 04's. any ideas would be appreciated

from what I've read (never had the problem) it's either vapor getting into your carb or water on the electrical components. Seems the most common solutions are dielectric grease on the plugs and motor for the front diff and vented side panels
