Would a Raptor be good for me?
#1
I am about 6'3,240lbs and ride alot of trails and open areas.
I would have the YFZ but I need reverse. Do you think a Raptor would be a good choice?
I love my Warrior, but I am looking for more suspension...and more power would help.
Think it would be good for me? I'm only 13 (big kid). Do you think it would be too much power?
any input appreiciated.

It all depends on your skill level. I started out on my raptor when I was 13 and had no problems, but I had been riding since I was 4 (LT80), and had good skill by that age. In my opinion if your like me, you could handle a raptor. Just remember when you put the raptor on the pin, it accerates much harder that your warrior and can be much harder to control and keep the front end down. As far as jumping the stock suspension is great for small to medium sized jumps around the house. The only problem I find with the raptor and so do many other owners is the tippiness. This can be somewhat overcome by proper body english, but it is still very evident. A cheap way that I chose to fix that problem were tires with a tougher sidewall, ITP holeshots, and wheelspacers.
Hope this helped

There is no such thing as too much power, you just have to learn to control it. The Raptor is a great bike. You would not be dissapointed and you can get them at a good price now. The DS650 would be another option, but i think the Raptor looks a lot better.
