What would you rather have a raptor of a yfz450?
I have ridden both with pipes, air filter, and jetted up. The two races were very close and had my tires been differnt, the races would have been side by side. So I would rather have the Raptor because you have so many options for it. You can build it to be a drag racin' monster. It has reverse, and the look of the Raptor is unforgettable.
Now I'm not saying I wouldn't like to have a YFZ. But if I had to choose between the two, I would take a Raptor. Plus the YFZ is not all that comfortable, but it's not all that horrible either. The best part of the YFZ is how quick you get through the gears. That is what is amazing to me.
**But on a side note....I bleed blue, and hope the YFZ stomps the *** off the new R.

This is something I recently had to consider when trading up from my Blaster. Since getting the Blaster I had wanted a Raptor, but when I went to look the new yfz450 was sitting there. After talking to my dealer I decided that the Raptor was definately for me. Whilst there is no doub the 450 is a fine bike form what Ive been told etc. the 450 is more suited to track use, where as the Raptor is best suited on trails (which is all I do), so in the end I got my Raptor. There is also the cost issue and the fact the 450 as no reverse gear.

I have both, so I guess I have the best of both worlds.
For the dunes, I prefer the raptor, it has a much smoother, more comfortable ride.
For the track, the YFZ is definitely better. Although, it is proving itself to be quite a worthy duner.

I like too jump.. I know the YFZ will be bit better for jumping but I will still take the rappy because. Im trail riding all the time. What im pretty much always doing. But at the same time, im a hardcore duner So Rappy is my dream bike. That is sitting in the garage right now. lol
