4 stroke engine would be alot better all round you cant say that ant true either, i mean a 2 stroke crotch rocket engine going through trails imagine that...would be insanely dumb

Put a YZ 480 motor in that thing. A 2 stroke with BALLZ like that will push that chasis!

if you wanted to go big, you should do a sled mobile engine or a Yamaha R1 engine, i have seen both at the dunes, snow mobile engine was faster!!!!!

the susp on the rap is way better than that on the banshee, so i think its a cool idea!!!! I'd like to see ya do it , if you have the means. not necessarily sand.....might make a pretty good track bike withe rap susension and even lighter weight....let me know how it goes...

...lighter weight, lower c.g., two-stroke engine, something unique and my own, a fun project to work...

I guess I don't have a point.

speaking of insanely dumb... if you would have read my first post, you would see that I want to build a "dune specific" machine, not for trails. Also, this isn't a 4-stroke vs 2-stroke battle - so quit trying to hijack my thread...

Honestly, I just think that it would be cool to have a built regular Raptor (like a CR686-powered beast) and a banshee-engine Raptor. That way if I feel like riding a 2-stroke I could hop on my "Rapshee" and the ergos would be the same as my 4-stroker. Easier for setting up suspension-wise, too. That and I have a lot of extra Raptor parts.
