Kodiak Oil Filters
#1
Does anyone have an Alternate Oil filter and part #? Besides WIX or AMSoil, no local stores carry them, and i really dotn want to mail order oil filters. I paid $10.50 for the factory oil filter, so im looking for an alternate.

For most quads i would say use any good filter you want. BUT the filter on the new kodiak is unlike any iv ever seen (cut one open you will see) It is not a paper element it is like a tightly packed preassure molded fiber there is no way any aftermarket filter can compare. Use whatever you want but the filter on the Kodiak is the best filter iv ever seen.

Thanks Yama I was about to tear apart my old filter. I'll take your word for it. $11.56 at Beverton Honda. Do you pay less somewhere else? When you want some differnt area to ride in, perhaps we can connect and you can try out the coast range just out of McMinnville.

Oldbear i also buy my filters at Beaverton Honda. They seem to charge the same or less then outher places. Action motor sports wants like 15.00 for them. I havent ridden to many diffrent places unfortunatly. I use to ride at my uncles cabin in eastern oregon but never seem to make it there anymore such a long drive. About 90% of the time i ride at Browns camp. Do you ever ride there???
It would be killer to hook up and go rideing sometime.
