I think the Honda will surprise you YFZ owners,it might not beat the YFZ450 but it will run right with it.
AS for the Raptor,bring the weight down to 350lbs and it will run neck and neck with both of them.

 

im pretty sure the 450r will beat a raptor around the track, raptors arent very track friendly in stock trim, once you put some money into them, then you've got a good race quad

 

On top end in a drag race the Raptor beats both the YFZ and the R. However, on the track is a differnt story. It just depends on riders, and how the quads are being used.

MX tack is completely differnt from drag racing in dirt, pavement, or on sand.

The direct gift from God(the YFZ) was talked up to be the fastest thing on 4 wheels, however on a drag race on pavement with the same mod's as my Raptor, I run side by side with him in short drags, and in a long drag can drive by it.

And I'm sure it's going to be great with the R vs. YFZ. I'm sure both bikes will perform almost the same and the better rider will prevail. I know the stock Raptor won't run with either bikes but you have to look at how detuned the Raptor is. Then you look at what the R and YFZ have stock. There is a big difference. Throw a pipe on the Raptor and a pipe on the YFZ and the results above is what happened.

But in the YFZ vs. R....I'll pick the YFZ. FCR's......higher compression piston.........the YFZ wins over the R. But spend the same amount of cash on a Rappy as you do the R or YFZ.....and the Raptor will stomp *** in a drag race.

 

Thirsty, How can you say the 450R is clearly outdone by the Yamaha 450 when none of us have ridden the Honda except for a couple pros. Have you ridden this bike? If you have, maybe you can say this, but if not ,don't tell someone, clearly "NO, your wrong" unless you have tested it. here is my .02 , I know my Wtec Eraser will beat both the 450's and your raptor. lol [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

My R will burn the craptor and yfz but not the 450R because it isnt OUT YET!!! (notice i didnt say stock for stock)

just from looking at the pics etc, it seems the YFZ is alot lower then the Honda is. I would ASSUME it will make the YFZ handle better then the R.

but like others say, we won't know for another couple of weeks (when does it come out? Jan?)

 

man all you talk about on this forum is how your R can beat everything. no one cares about your R.
