As you guys may know they newest bikes to my stable were a couple of Blasters for the trails. Since I bought one for me and my girlfriend I must be faster. What mods would you guys recommend? I have thought about FMF or ProCircuit pipe which of the two would be better. Also does premixing add any power, My bike has the injector where hers doesn't is there an advantage to this?

advantage, knowing you are getting the oil you need!

As for speed. The only way you are going to gain a lot of top end is a 240 big more kit. Then you will pick around 10 mph, and a lot more power. The move up to a 14 tooth front and you should be up to around 72 or so.

My blaster has trouble staying straight at the 55 it goes now. I think a longer swingarm will be needed

sounds great, now tell me how much would this big bore kit costs? does this include a new pipe as well or will I have to make that pipe choice between FMF,DG and Pro Circuit. Also I currently have the stock tires on the rear if I would go with a 20 Inch Turf Tamer or Holeshot would that change the sprocket size to achieve the same effect. And 72MPH..... That's pretty darn quick for a little blaster

Trinity sells the 240 big bore kit for $499.99 and you have to do all the work and the kit does not come with any pipe or muffler i would suggest a 265 big bore kit for that all you do is send them your engine and the money and they put it all in for you for $799.99 no pipe eather, but if you really want a lot of power get a 295 big bore kit with stroker crank they do all the work for you for $1599.99 it dosent come with a pipe eather but if you added a fatty pipe and a fmf scilencer you would have one bad blaster.and i bet it will top 80 mph or faster.
hope this helps

The bang for your buck is from CT racing.

They want 879 and it comes with everything! 34mm Carb, New reeds, pipe, silencer, porting, piston kit, and they do the big bore.

That is a great deal if you ask me. If trinty wants 500 just to do the kit, Then you are getting a 300 pipe and silencer and carb for pretty much nothing!

stay with a 240 kit and dont go any bigger. with the stock air cooling if u go over 240ccs you develop heat problems. unless you just all out drag then stay with a 240!!!

PArdon me for being a cad, or a jerk... but why not save some money, and learn to ride better.
Or is there some bizarre psyhological need for your machine to be 'better' than hers?

To reply to roadkill's response.......That was just a statement. I certainly have above average riding skills compared to her. I have been riding for 15 years both two, three and four wheel varieties, so I am pretty sure I ride better but I made the statement to add some humor to my post. As the gentleman before me said, I bought the thing and if I really wanted so much speed, I would simply buy another bike. I have owned several and as I said, the blasters are the newest bikes to my stable of over 6 machines. I purchased them because of my facination with two strokes and didn't want a Banshee or Polaris. But to anyone else reading this post I would appreciate your response to the initial question, I didn't post this to argue with anyone. Thanks

Moto, thanks for the reply. My apologies, but I was hoping for reply with a bit more content, which you were kind enough to supply.
