Default Raptor Rectifier

I think thats what I am talking about.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] Its the finned elec. componet that is bolted to a peice of metal that is connected to the sub-frame on the 01 Raptors, between the grab bar and the back of the air box. I think they moved it on the 02 models for some reason, but I'm not sure if they did.

So what is this part for?
What does it do?
How much heat does it put off? It looks like alot just going by the looks.
And what happens if it gets too hot?
Did they move it in 02? Where to?

It's a voltage regulator.

I'm already having to wear Spandex so the wind doesn't catch my T shirt and blow me away.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]LOL

For once weight isn't the reason for wanting to remove it. It is in the way and its ugly.

Do you think I can chrome it?
