Will those Raptor side covers work with a aftermarket pipe....like the Alba system???

I have been looking at the kits, and I was on the yamaha site building a raptor(do it for fun), and I noticed the side covers go over the side of the heat shield when you install them. Would they fit on aftermarket pipes or not???

 

So does anyone know if they will fit around the aftermarket header...or if the header will melt the side cover or what???

 

I'm using the covers w/ full Alba pipe. Haven't noticed any problems, but will double check & let you know.

 

Awesome. How do your side covers go on....do they bolt on or something???

 

What do these covers do? All I see them acomplishing is blocking air to cool the engine. They do look cool and I love the way they look on LEs but I dont see a good use for them.

 

Looks and well.....looks alone. Like my headlight covers. I got them for looks and well....looks alone.

 

You know, I have the headlight covers too, just havent put them on since I dont have the screws and spacers [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

I think the real reason for the side covers is to protect the frame from scuffing up when you ride with riding boots...

 

I don't wear boots because they scratch the gas tank and what not. But I think the side covers would look good and just wanted to make sure they wouldn't melt over the Alba Header.
