titanium rod
#12
I talked to Tim Barker @ barkersbars & he makes titanium-rods for around $495.
He also sells chromoly rods for around $175. Not sure how they compare to stock strength.
Titanium-rods by themselves they don't make any more power but the theory is they are lighter & stronger than stock so they would help it rev quicker.
Tim told me they usually wind up making the titanium ones pretty hefty anyway so the weight issue helping with better revs is a bit over-rated.
He said the cheaper rod is fine & costs a lot less but if you want the best & are willing to pay, he can make the titanium rod.
