ok break in your new blaster
start it up, let it idle but rev it slightly off and on. kepp doing this until the motor is to hot to keep your hand on it. then shut it off and let it cool down to COLD. it's important to do this heat cycle to your rings will set.

after it's sat for a while, start it, warm it up , DO NOT OVER REV.
put it in gear and go easy on the throttle find a straight stretch to where you can cycle through all the gears or ride for about five minutes. don't go above about 1/2 throttle, but try not to bog the motor or stay below the power band and most importantly vary your rpms. don't worry so much about throttle bursts, just don't hold it down. bring back to your house and let it cool down again.
from then on you can ride it at bigger intervals at a time, and gradually get on the throttle a little more aggresively.
bursts of throttle alow of expansion while release allows for mild cool down.
after you've run 1 entire tank of gas through the motor while breaking it it, your good to go. put about 3 hours on it before you really get on the throttle and hold it.
if you run the crap out of it while it's not broke it you can cause over heating wich in turn causes excess wear and leads to low spots along places of friction. this in turn shortens your bikes top end life and lowers the compresion.
happy riding

n.p.
just remember , it's only about 3 hours or one tank of gas. just go from 5 to 10 to 15 minute rides and then to 30 min rides. just be easy on the throttle. a
dealers tell you like 20 hours but they just try to cover their butts.
on a two stroke it's only like 3 hours but on a 4 stroke it's quite a bit longer for break in.
and after you've run a good tank in it, get on the throttle :-)
