Alright, I'm thinking I may be misunderstanding you......

Do you have an airfilter, or nothing at all? Its not bad to have a stock filter, just as long as you do have a filter of some type. If you do not have an airfilter of any sort yes it is imperative that you buy one and put it on your quad. Its what filters all the dirt, water, and other crap out of your air source before it hits the internal parts of your motor. Without any airfilter all that dust, sand, and dirt can go straight to the internals of your motor.

Ok, I thought I was misunderstanding you. If you put an aftermarket exhaust on then yes you should rejet, and yes it is something you can do yourself.

Its really just trail and error. Go down to your dealership and ask for an assortment of jets. I'd get two richer main jets(from stock), and two leaner main jets. If you like you could also get one richer(from stock) and one leaner Pilot jet. Your needle is adjustable, and should most likely be in the center of the adjustment range from the factory. Your pilot jet affects your 0-1/4 throttle, needle affects 1/2-3/4, and main affects 3/4- to full throttle. Now there is some overlap of circuits, but for simplicities sake this is a good rule of thumb. Chances are good it won't be right on the first shot, and you'll probably have to take the carbs off more than once, but I don't see any reason why you could not do it yourself. As long as you've got some basic mechanical ability it can be done.

I highly reccomend the Curtis Sparks X-6 Exhaust over every other exhaust system out there,

can anybody help me with my raptor? Can you tell me what are the best jets to use with a white brothers full exhaust system. I am running a 148 on the left main and 150 on the right main. If these are the right ones can someone respond and if not can someone tell me the right jets and if I can use my stock needle or what kind of needle to buy? thanx

I have a full HMF pipe on mine with a dyno-jet stage II jet kit installed in my quad. To be honest I think mine really rocks. I have enough power to do third gear holeshots when I drag race, and when it comes to looks I dont think you can find a better pipe since you can get the canister powdercoated to different colors that will match your quad. What really made me buy mine was the price though, when I bought my pipe a couple of years ago it was like atleast $100 cheaper than the rest of the pipes. Oh and dont be sucked in by all of these guys telling you that my pipe makes more power than your pipe because when it all comes down to it, almost all of the pipes made by top manufactures have about the same hp readings.
