whats up, i had a audi s4 that was mapped and tuned to run higher than 100 octane. i ran it everyday like this for about a year. when i couldnt get race gas or ran out, i would make my own mixture with toulene and 94 octane sunoco. Toulene is 114 octane by itself. if you mix a gallon of 94 with a gallon of toulene it would be 104 octane. you have to get "pure" toulene which is just straight up toulene with no other cleaners in it. You can get this at home depot or riccardi paints, or just any paint store. Its about 5 bucks a gallon. BTW can you run leaded race fuel in the raptor? Last night was the first time i rode the raptor on 89 octane with the new t4 can, head pipe, proflow intake, dynojet, open airbox, and damn the thing is nice now. Huge improvement especially in throttle response. Its very loud though. Anyway, let me know if you guys out there run race fuel on similar setups.

 

Back in the early 80's I worked at a paint factory for a while. One of the chemists was into sportbikes (the very first ones) and was messing with toluene as an octane booster. This is the first time I've heard anybody else speak of it.

Those chipped AUDIs are darn quick. I had a buddy with one of the BI-Turbo ones it was yellow and chipped with an exhaust and HOLY COW was it fast.

 

i had 30k plus into mods on mine. had a little over 400hp, straight pipes, no cats, xr race 100+ octane ecu, race exhaust, rs4 clutch, flywheel, i would need two pages to finish. it lit up all four tires through second gear. It was recently stolen from a restaurant and was totalled in a police chase(wasnt much of a chase) cops recored 175+ mph speeds on the highway, bastards [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

btw toulene was great in my car, i guess it would be the same in the bike
