I have enough money to buy a Honda 400ex or a Yamaha Raptor. I plan on doing alot of woods riding, but I also want some awesome top speed. I would love to get a Raptor more than a 400ex, but I don't know which is better. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

Get the Raptor, no question. The 400ex is a good quad but the Raptor is a better trail machine and has much more potential for future mods.

Raptor Raptor Raptor 1st Raptor will smoke 400ex 2nd Raptor has sooo many upgrades. 3rd Best looking quad around!!!!

400EX is a nice machine. And would work great on trails.
But the Raptor has a lot more power and reverse which is nice when you get stuck.

Get the Rappy and roost all your friends on the trails.

I wouldn't necesarily say theres more mods for a raptor, but remember "theres no replacement for displacement".

Get the 400ex. You can get a new one pretty cheap.

I don't understand you signature though "2001 Raptor 88hp"

A Raptor or a 400EX would be blistering slow compared to that 88HP machine

 

Umm...why are you comparing the two?
Raptor-660, liquid cooled 5 valve
400ex-400, air-cooled, 4 valve(I think?)

If you want to compare it to something..compare it two a z400, kfx400, or ds650.


but anyway...i would pick the Raptor anyday...more power....liquid cooled....+reverse
