It's like this people that have different bikes will say in there head that there bike is better than someone elses untill they actually beleive it. There is always a bigger and badder fish and some people cant except that. I have nothing but a little 300 and I know that pretty much everything will stomp it in the ground but that doesn't me want to diss other bikes like the raptor cuz in my oppinion the rappy is one of THE BEST all around bikes you can buy. And when people there bikes only lost by a length or two is still losing if lose by an inch or by a mile. All bikes have good and bad points but they are all good and provide you with fun. Just my $0.02

SAYIT FMF....im totally with you on this one....i have a warrior right now...i kinda want a z400 or kfx cause of the kawi green lol (lifelong dream)...and your totally right...im not the greatest of riders..but im trying to get better before i go bigger....a kid i ride with has the same damn quad i do except hes been riding street bikes for a long time and dirtbikes...this kid flys through the tightest trails at speeds i dont think ill ever have the ***** to in these trails...its all about the rider! screw all this bored .30 over toa 440 non sense..if your passion is building engines and having a badass quad that goes super fast kool...but that speed doesnt mean jack if you dont knwo how to ride...like in my case..same exact quads and i have ahell of a time keeping up with this guy...its seems like everyone gets a quad and has to dump thousands in aftermarket crap to get it to go faster....when in reality...if they would spend as much time practicing their riding as they did doing google searches for go fast parts maybe they wouldnt need them LOL...oh well just my .02 htought id share

Nicely said. He has a Honda 300 and hes proud of it. I would be too, because the ones ive rode are pretty damn fun [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] He has a Honda and doesnt bash the Raptor like others. Cause they cant win them or dont have one or w/e I can go on forever. Theres those people that have too have the best most bad@$$ bike out there. I didnt, I might have a Raptor but I got it because my Blaster got too small, I ride sand and trails, and I tried out a Raptor. AND I LIKED IT... So I got one. And wont trade it or give it away for the world

I think it is strange, I rode mx (bikes) for years before i got my first 4 wheeler last spring. at the mx track nobody disses anyones bike or braggs how much faster there's is. why is like that with quads? I mean who cares if your quad is 2mph faster

 

hey fella 's dont get your hopes up to high, the raptor aint as fast as you think it is..i never said my 400 can beat it, but i definetly wont do too bad next to the raptor. i would think for a 660 it would absolutely **** all over my 400, but i guess i was wrong. for a 400 the z ainst bad at all.

Any sport quad with 400 or more cc's can look good in a 300ft race against the bigger displacements.Try stetching them out another 50 yds and that 3 bike lengths turns into 10.Hell,I don't even use the higher gears in 300 ft.

I think the point you are missing is "be proud of what you own but don't bash on other people's rides man!"

You make it sound like we think the Raptor is better than anything else on the planet but "you" in fact are the one bragging and putting others down. I have never put anyone down for what they ride and I have gotten the same general feeling from most other Raptor owners on this forum. And in case you didn't know it, quads do not generally come from the factory to achieve extreme top speeds regardless of thier displacement. Why? Because a lot of people would kill themselves and open up the door for many lawsuits and government regulations. That's one of the reasons the Raptor comes so chocked down stock but it is easily remidied with a good pipe, jet kit, and filter.

Again I might stress to you since you seem to be so concerned about the top speed of the Raptor....have you checked the torque curves?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

no i like the raptor, i know alot of people on the board and not on the board that brag about there raptors and banshees and make other people look like sh*t, i wasnt aiming this towards everbody. just letting some people know that the raptor isnt the greatest in the world, but neather is the z400. i was just trying to make a point.
