raptor weight

Lighter is always better, the lighter you can make a quad the better the "power to weight ratio" is. The raptor does not have a light weight chasis but it does have an aluminum subframe/upper a-arms/ swingarm/wheels.

Even the 400ex is lighter than the raptor.

It should be, it's not liquid cooled. It doesn't have a radiator.

At over 500lbs, no wonder the V Force is commented on as a hog/pig. LOL

But here in WV....we always call the V force...."Grasshopper"

lol, thanks for all the replies, i knew lighter was better, but i mean the 700 v-force is like what less than 40 cc's bigger, and it weighs a heck of alot more, but its beyond me ,

hi, i was just reading again and i saw that the yfz450 yamaha has 5 titanium valves, and the raptor it says, just has, 5 valves, is there a major!!! difference between the two? or does the raptor have titanium, but it just didn't show it?

No Ti valves in the Raptor but you can get them.

i prefer the slogan "Its a pitbull with an extra set of teeth" for my pred...
as for the raptor being ligher.. i dunno.. i think the weight might be wrong.

but ahh vforce is 2 cylinder...right?..i dont keep up with kawasaki's that much lately.

And has a stupid automatic. I dont know who's idea that was, but you cant be putting automatics on "sport quads" Not that there is a lot of sport to one of those things that I have seen. They way as much as a utility quad. You get a quad that weighs as much as it does, you mine as well have the 4-wheel drive!!
