I have a 2002 grizzly 660 and was wondering if anyone else has had a speedometer display that quit working. Have checked obvious wiring connections and wiring...was wanting to know if I was missing something before I buy another display. Or is it even the display?

 

Have you checked all of your fuses?

 

allfuses check out ok looked over wiring and all connections shift lights still work the silver area of the display is out and the diff lock light will not come on but everything still works

 

Looks like it could be the meter assembly. It might be worth it to have a shop look at it because at least that way, you will not throw good money after bad. If it is the meter assembly something may of caused it to go bad.

 

ok so im not always so smart but i thought i was smart enough to ck a fuse i have one of those fuse testers that you dont have to pull the fuse to ck i buy the manual and start cking wiring no power to the display so i go back to the fuse still checks good even w/test light finally pull my head out and the fuse one prong on the fuse was rusted Corroded jacked up what ever you want to call it !!!!! it fixed the problem thanks for the help!

 

That's great news! The cost of the manual sure beats the cost of the spedo display.
