Default Yamaha Rt 100

Hey guys my cousin offered to give me one of these for 500 dollars and it is in good shape.
first off i want to know what kind of after market parts for it. like pipe and what not. and i am a big guy 6 foot and 200 pounds. the bike felt light but not terribly small. i was just wandering what you guys think(maybe biger bike) my cuz said it didn't look to small(like she would tell me) even if it was.lol

let me know, just curious,
anybody know the top speed on this. it felt pretty snappy but i didn't get to clock it

Well my friend had one. You're 6 feet, 200 lbs. If you just want something to play around on, like those guys and their Honda 50s, then depending on what year it is, it's up to you. I doubt there are any aftermarket parts, and when I rode it about 5 years ago, I felt I was hitting around 45-50 MPH on a paved road. I'd never get one. A CR/RM/YZ/KX 125 or 250 are a much better thing to put money down on, and they are wayyyyyy better than the RT100 would ever dream to be.

you sure you arent talking about an RT180 my friend??? I rode an RT100 when I was in like 4th grade after i moved up from my kiddy bike. I have an RT180 and its a blast to ride if thats what your talking about then yea get it they are a lot of fun. Ive clocked mine at around 75 on flat pavement and it doesnt have the snap a 125 has but in the woods its got plenty of lower end power and enough kick in the pants to keep you excited. if your 6'2" on a RT100 your knees should be infront of your elbows or chest.

RT100's are slugs. My 12 year old neice rides one. If you weigh 200lbs., you'll kill the poor bike. It would make a nice pit-bike to ride to the john's between motos, but your going to need something bigger.

I might be wrong, but the only way I can see a rt180 doing 75mph is with a back sprocket the size of a dime. That seems like a pretty tall top speed for that bike, but again, I could be wrong.
