Default Banshee Heads/Domes

I am having my banshee ported and thought I might as well get domes and heads too. What size domes should I get if I just want to run 93 octane? I have heard that cool heads give the internals a longer life. Should I just get the domes or should I get the cool heads too. Will the bigger domes even fit into stock heads? How much am I looking at for both domes and heads? What companies sell them as a package?

I bought a pro design cool head for my banshee. I ran 21cc domes and it ran really well.It gave me quite a bit of performance
and it made my bike run alot cooler. Its definally something thats moneys worth. It retails for about $250.

Just realized I screwed up with my first post with the comment about the bigger domes.

I've got a few question fairly related, so I thought I wouldn't start a new thread

I've been thinking about running 19cc domes. I'd be running 110 octane, and I'm at sea level. Not much motor work, just vitos pistons and toomy T5 pipes. It's also 12 years old on the origonal bottom end. The bike usually sees a trip to the sand dunes twice a year, and I haven't had any problems with it.

is 110 octane enough for 19cc domes? Is there much of a chance of detonation?
will I have problems with overheating with the higher compression?
Will I have to worry about crank problems with my 12 year old crank?
would the power gain even be worth the effort?

thanks for any input.

Aftermarket heads are a waste of money. Shave your head -.040 and call it good. You will get the same performance, for about $200 less. I dont believe the claims that they reduce heat either. If your cooling system is up to par, you should not have any problems, I havent for 4 years now...

Oh yea, I ride the deserts of Arizona...
