I'm taking my head and cylinders off soon and was wondering what I'm going to need to take off. It looks like nothing besides maybe the pipes? (T-5's) Is this right or will taking something else off make it easier to get to the motor?

 

you will have to take off the front plastic and gas tank. and of course the carbs and reeds.

 

You will have to drain your water pump and take off the following:

plastic, gas tank, airbox, carbs, water lines, headers

You can get to some of it without taking all this off but it seems easer to me to take it all off to begin with.
