My brothers friend has an 01 raptor and says it sounds like the starter just spins. Said it sounds the almost the same as when the bike is running and u hit the starter button. Is it the starter or could it be the 1 way??

idk could try a rebuild... or the gears might b stripped so idk idk starters...

 

One way is one thing it could be. Did it just start doing this or did it have any other things it did when he tried starting before this?

 

Sounds like the one way too me. You would need to replace the one way bearring and the big gear with it.
