My piston is a JE. It was made for me leaving a little more on top than the normal 12:1.

I am running it with a 12:1 je with no problems. With the correct additives and jetting the octane does not need to be a s high and the engine will run cooler. Call vp for more info.

Nice signature TriRap. LOL

I know of one other OVER 12/1 686 that uses, or at least used, Ultimate 4 once. It ran like a champ that day. I never did hear of him having any poblems with the low octane, but he didn't run it too long after that.

The 13/1 I was talking about was made by DASA, I think. It is on Alba web site wahtever the name is.
The thing that bothers me is it say shipping weight for this piston is 5LBS!!!!

jcd, who made you 13/1 JE?

Ultimate 2 is for 2 strokes it will gum up your intake valves in a 4 stoke!

Ward660R, I can't give all the details to keep it interesting!

TriRap, I don't know where or who you talked to, but there is know difference between the two other than the octane rating. I talked to Brad at VP Racing in San Antonio home office for VP Fuels.

He also told me that a single cylinder four stroke up to 13.1 compression could run Ultimate 4 just fine with no problems, I have the same set up and I have had no problems.

I will be purchasing Ultimate 2 and trying it out for myself.
