Default ? Flipping Rear Linkage ?

you turn the linkage left to right. just unbolt the entire linkage, and flip the grease fitting sticking up to the left. you will see on the linkage how the bolt pattern is spaced. you want to turn it 180 degree's left to right.

you have to jack up the rear end to unbolt the linkage. you just unbolt, flip it left to right 180 degree's and bolt it back up.

any questions, pm me.

Here's a link to the Lowering Procedure by flipping the linkage with full instructions and pictures.

That is a good write up Y2J. So I can do this to an 03 as well. For some reason I thought you were not able to do it because they changed the set up on the 03's.Thanks

I dont jump too high, maybe 4 feet up and 15 feet out and have not had any problems. There is some indication of the parts hitting but I dont care. The benefits outwiegh the risk of damage and if I DO break anything, I'll get ELKAS.
Sounds good so far. You get twice the air I do so I should be alright.
I really try not to jump that high on purpose I'm too old and feeble to handle the landings. a guy has to try things out though.

This is a very good mod, we have several of them running around here where I live. And no problems to date. And that write up is good as well.

You can lower any model of Raptor with the linkage flip. I have lowered mine 03' LE, and I have lowered a 04' Red and White Raptor at the end of summer. So you can lower the 03' if you want to.

www.cfmracing.com

You can get a front lowering kit from there for pretty cheap. Same style as basically all front lowering kit for the Raptors. It lowers you 4inches and makes your quad 2 inches wider. So it definetly gives you some handling. And you lose the tippy feeling with the Raptor after lowering.

But jumping is not a good idea with lowering. If you had a good front end set up like SixSixt then jumping wouldn't matter, but if you lower the front with blocks, then you shouldn't jump.

Another way to lower the front of a Raptor is to bolt on a set of blaster front shocks. That drops the front end 3 inches. The lowering blocks I listed above drops you 4 inches.

Thanks for the reply's. I flipped it and went to the dunes and when I got back I wasn't happy with the fronts so I flipped the rear back to take some pics and noticed that the rear shock and link was rubbing/binding. So I don't think it's a good idea on 02s and later.

Mine has been lowered like that for 4 months, and mine is fine. I don't know what is happening with yours. I'll look mine over tomorrow, and follow up. But 4 months in, and mine is a o.k.
