Fun factor is 100% Wolv - light, quick, manual.

Polaris - heavy, slow, auto.

Decided yet?

I am bias because I own one but the Wolvy is a fun machine. Good power, light weight, good handling, lots and lots of hop up parts avalible for them. My Wolvy has been fairly reliable, never stranded me in the woods. I have seen a lot of problems out of Polaris machines. Just my $.02

Kush man is right if you do alot of mudding go with the Polaris. I have both of the machines you are talking about a 2000 wolverine and a 2004 sportsman 500. The olny problam i have had with the wolv just started i cant get her to start with the starter i have to pull start it. Other than that the bike is wonderful to ride (with stock tires nothing bigger no power) its light and you are alot less tired when you get done for the day. On the other hand my 500 is unreal it has alot more power and it will go places i would'nt even try to go on my wolv. There both pretty close in price so its up to what kind of riding you do. If you liike mudding like i do then go with the 500 or even 400 for the ground clearence but if you want less weight and better gas milage then go with the wolf. There both bad aZZ! Let us know what you decide.

You know what the deal really is?????/.......no matter what you got, ya wish ya had something else, bigger, lighter, smaller, ect....look at all the options versus what you can spend.....buy it, enjoy it within your limits, and have a hell of a good time..

the guys i ride with all have 500 ho's and i have no problem staying with them on my wolverine even on the open road wich suprises them because it is only a 350. i only wish it was geared lower in first for the ruff and sloppy stuff that we go threw . one thing with the polaris that i have noticed is that there front wheels wear out fast for some reason. if you like to shift and play around get a wolverine .if you like the auto get the polaris. you should also consider the kodiak 450.
