Default Yamaha Financing

I need some advice on understanding the yamaha financing. I am wanting to trade my 2002 R6, and my 2003 Blaster in on a 2004 Raptor. I dont think I will get pay off for eithier, actually i know i wont. I know i could trade the blaster in and carry the difference onto the raptor because they both will be financed through the Yamaha card. My R6 is through the bank though. If I took the R6 and the Blaster up there, would they cover the pay off on the R6 from the bank and put the difference onto the Yamaha Card. I realize that I will be spending nearly $9000 for a 04 Raptor, but they have a deal right now with no interest for a year. I can make $500 a month payments and really knock the balance down on the card. Let me have some advice or comments, thanks
John

I think you will be greatly sadden when they tell what there offer is for your tradein is, sell them outright then go back and get your Raptor, you will be in a better position to bargin and you just might alot off the price you were going to pay. Look up the NADA book for your value on the bikes, then subtract 1000 to 1500 from the trade in value and that is what they will offer.AlaskaBoy.

P.S. If you can afford 500 hundred a month, wait till you have the cash, I know 0% sounds good, but not everyone gets it.

what i can tell you is this...the zero % financing is on select atv and dirt bike models. i'm not sure if the Raptor is one of these models. the YFZ i just bought was not. they are now running a tier system dependent on your credit scoring. tier levels determine the financing %.

Dude,
I don't know where you live or how old you are but you are going to take a huge hit if you sell the '02 R6, don't do it. I know it's great having something brand new off the showroom floor but trust me it's not worth it. You'll kick yourself in the **** in a few months if you go through with it.

This is what you should do. Put the blaster in the classified/atv trader or whatever, get the cash(if it's in good condition it should fetch around $2500) and go out and find yourself a used Raptor for 3500-4g's. Everyone is selling Raptors to buy the YFZ so the market is saturated with them which just brings the price down. An '02 Raptor is no different than an '04 except for the paint scheme.
Also if you do it this way you'll still have the R6, two toys instead of one. I gave up my streetbike this past October, I wish I still had it! If you trade either machine in at the dealer you are going to get raped, don't do it. They'll give you $1600 for the balster and maybe $4000 for the R6.
Having only one toy is boring, variety is the spice of life.
Remember, the one with the most toys when he dies wins!

I hardly ever ride the R6. It mainly just sits in the garage, it doesnt get the attention that it should.

Don't ever put anything on a credit card.

You will never get what your stuff is worth from any dealer... whether it's a car on a bike. You ALWAYS better off selling them yourself.

Here's a quote from Ol' Loadtoads grandmother..... "if ya can't pay cash, ya don't need it."

What do you need credit for if you have that kind of money?
People with that kind of money get better rates with secured loans anyhow.

stay away from it!! sell what you have, square up with the bank and sign another note with your bank on the raptor. theyll give you nothing for yours and turn around and put it on the floor for 2-3grand more than what they gave you, then sucker someone with "special" financing and make as much off the deal as they did when it was new
