Default Yamaha Financing

John,

What you are buying is a TOY, a hobby. Stop with the stupid financing and even worse, trading toys in for 50 cents on the dollar and rolling the balance into a bigger loan. If you can not pay cash for a TOY, do not buy it until you can. Quads are "wants", not "necessities". The finance companies are the only people making out on these kinds of deals. Do yourself a favor and sell what you have in the classfied ads and see what kind of coin you have left after you pay off ALL of your loans on those toys. Also, this is no way to establish a credit rating. You want to get a good credit rating, pay a loan off early, watch your debt versus income ratio, stop carrying balances on credit cards and paying minimum amounts.

Alright, I sound like a douche bag, probably like an old guy, and I am. But this is sound financial advice.

By the way, let me know how the 04 rides. Good luck

Your absolutely right!

The funny thing bout your reply is the last line. You wrote like you know that he will go against your advice and buy the '04 Raptor anyway.
You know something, I'll bet you $5 that your right.

actually, paying a loan off early wont help your credit.it wont hurt it either, but, they look at it as you screwing the creditor out of some interest

Thank you guys for all the help. I took some of the advice, I put the R6 at Cycle Vantage and in the local papers around here for way under the NADA and KBB for it. As for the blaster I will still most likely try to just trade it in and carry the balance. Hell who knows, I might just keep the blaster, do some mods, but still sell the R6.
