First trip to Glamis

Can anybody tell me how to get there from Phx, Arizona? Take the I-10 to hwy 78 is all I know. Also can it be explained where to park and camp, fees, jetting and anything else a first timer should know? We will be going this friday and should arrive late night so all the advice will help. It's not going to be easy in the dark.

You'll probably be able to get a spot to park on Gekco Rd. which is on the west side of the dunes, the washes are on the east side on the road that runs between the store and RR tracks. The washes are usually a little dustier and you get to listen to the trains all night. It's $25 for a weekly pass.
I don't know the directions from the way you'll be coming but it right on 78.

I don't think you'll need to rejet coming from phoenix. Secondly, as soon as you turn onto gecko road you'll come across the fee area. It'll be to the right. There a couple of automated machines there and your probably better off buying a season pass if you plan on returning more than once. As for where to camp, if you want to be near some restrooms, I'd suggest you camp at the loop. If you keep going straight on gecko rd for about 2 or 3 miles you'll come across a left turn. If you take it you'll loop around some toilets and come back out to gecko. That's where I usually camp out.
As far as rules to follow, remember to take a whip. Don't buzz by any camp sites. And if your exhaust is loud don't be reving it in front of any rangers. Other than that you should be alright.

Hey, I forgot to mention this, I'm not sure if you'll even need to do it, but just to make sure you should look into it. Since your coming from out of state you might need to also buy an out of state CA OHV pass or something like that. Like I said, I'm not sure if you really need it, but I would look into it just in case.
