Neither rockymountain or Chaparral had ITP XCR fronts. So I just got front and rear Holeshot. Total came out to $222, shipped to my door. 21x7x10 and 20x11x10. I hope these tires work out for me! Ive heard they wear out fast, but I think the ones that do wear out are the MX versions. I ride on dirt roads (small rocks and loose dirt) and hit some small dunes, will these work out for me?

 

yeah you are right. the mx and the mxr are the ones that wear out quicker than the others due to the softer rubber compound. the harder the rubber due to its ply rating the longer it lasts. the mx versions both have 2 ply rating which is very soft!

 

I would guess don't expect to much life out of them, my buddies used to run them and they wore 4 times as fast as my razrs or shredders.

trails and fields, on banshee, lasted a few months and I think one 400ex, at least a year outta them on that one.

 

i guess it also factors in what type of dirt surfaces you are on too. also how much your tires spin or weather or not you ride on pavement. a lot of things factor in to tire life.

 

Right, thats why the banshee killed them so fast, it just spins the crap out of them instead of hooking up and going!!!

 

no pavement racing for me, just some trails (dirt and small rocks) and some small dunes.

 

As long as you stay off pavement, they should wear ok.
