Default Banshee Jetting help

My current mods are: Toomey T-5's, v-force reeds, wisesco pistons .20 over, low-mid porting, intake porting, noss head, and 20cc domes. I run 93 octane at 500-1000 ft above sea level. I just bought a keihin 35mm 2 into 1 carb with k&n filter. The carb has a power jet and the intake tracks have a rifle bore. How should I jet it in 30-50 degree weather?

Default Banshee Jetting help

Thanks alkyburnin. If I am running 165 in winter, I should run somewhere around a 155 in spring and 145 in summer?? What should I do with the needle. Where can I get jets for it? Would my dealership be able to order them?

I said 165 because that is what it would be with twin carbs and with a single, your air/fuel ratio shouldn't change. I am not for sure how the power jet will affect it though. 165 in winter and 155 in summer would be great. That is what every banshee I know of with keihin carbs runs. As for the needle, every engine is different. Especially when it comes to ported motors. You just need to play with it to get it right. Put the pilot jet in first before screwing with the needle. I run a 55 pilot now but will be dropping to a 50. I might wait until the weather warms up though.

Most dealers can get them. What part of IL are you from? I might be able to recommend a dealer.

The Keihin single carb jetting and Mikuni dual carb jetting numbers are quite a bit different. During the summer we were running 270-280 with Toomey pipes and dual carbs. Now with the single carb im running a 165-170 main and about a 48-50 pilot. But my elevation may be a little different. You can likely buy jets through your dealer or if you want a variety they should sell a multi pack of jets fro about 20 bucks through Parts Unlimited which most bike dealers buy from. We didnt have much trouble jetting my 33 carb but my dads 35 has been a bit trickier and we're still messing with it. Just bought some new needles and hopefully that will clean everything up.

Hiflyin your bike and mine are setup almost identically. My motor work was done up by you and he is great, he could maybe give you some jetting tips.
