Default Raptor Question???

Can you use 93 octane with a 11:1 piston without any problems?

Default Raptor Question???

I'd like to know what everyone thinks too. I haven't ridden mine with the 11:1 yet. The mechanic said to mix it to around 95 octane. I hear people that run premium, but it might be pretty marginal. I think I would rather run on the safe side than end up with a burnt piston.

Default Raptor Question???

I have a 12:1 and run straight 110 Unocal. I've heard you can run mix premium and race gas but if it avoids rod failure/piston damage isnt it cheap insurance to run it straight? Not really an answer but a perspective to consider. With an 11:1 I might mix 50/50 with race gas and premium but the cost difference is minimal compared to the damage you could have to fix.

If you trail ride you can probably get away with it but if you drag, ride dunes and hill shoot or ride fire roads and keep it pinned for any length of time I would run a mix at least, 100 would be better.
That's my 2 cents worth 3 if you live in Canada.
