Ok here it is, I put out an add for my blaster on a quad website, a 4sale add. Well a couple days later a guy emails me from U.K. !!! and here is his story .. this was a second email, the first one was similar...

Thanks for the mail.I will like
you to know that i cherish your bike and i'm interested in
purchasing the bike from you and i will like you to understand
once more that my client in the state who is owing me the sum of
$7900 and he will be sending the check down to you on my behalf
and as soon as you have receive the check payment and that you
have cash it then you will deduct your amount of the bike and
made the tranfer of the remaining balance to the shipper in U.K
that will come for the pick up which i have already arrange
for so if this is ok with you then i will like you to
forward me your address and phone number for the payment.

Like the typical american, I'm paranoid of some kind of scam. I'd like to think it's not, he seems pretty serious. and I'm considering business with him. What do you guys think? Pretty safe???
I told him i must have money first before he gets the bike, and he says he's mailing me a check and I just take the money out of that for the bike and tranfer the rest to the shipper in U.K.
You guys please feel free to put in your opinions.

 

Sounds kind of shady to me. It's not like he can't find a blaster over there. I'd be weary...

dont do it.. it is a scam. He WILL send you a check that will look real, and the bank will accept, then in about 3-4 weeks the bank will realize that its fake. Dont evey buy or sell anything worth that much unless you can see the person, and preferably cash. And i would never do business with anybody out of the US.. JMO. be safe

well, he's sending me a check for 7900$ and he's telling me to withdrawy 2700$ for my bike and then transfer the remaining amount to the shipper in U.K.
he told me to cash the check. so if I have cash money in my hand, what have i got to loose?

 

So he's giving you almost 8 thousand dollars and holding you to the honor system to give the remaining amount of what you sold him the quad for to his friend(the shipper)??? Whaa?? Is he crazy or something??

 

I just emailed him back and basically interrogated him. I'll let you knwo what he says in return, stay tuned.

IT"S A SCAM!!!!! Tell him you'll need to wait 3 or 4 weeks for the funds to clear be fore you send him the ballance and see what he says.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] I still would stay away from it.
