Default raptor backfires when its engaged in reverse

Does by passing the rev limiter for reverse cause any harm or damage to the bike? Other than trying to run the Indy 500 in reverse.

Won't hurt the motor, but it can hurt you.

That's what I thought. I was thinking of doing it to my raptor but I didn't want to grenade the motor. I can't even back mine out of the garage without it stalling. I'm also getting too old/lazy (34 HAHA) to be getting off on the trail and lift the front or rear end up and spin the bike around. And I think I have enough sence to not try to race in reverse, so I don't think the bodily harm part will be an issue.
Thanks

I've had my reverse rev limiter by-passed for about 90 engine hours now. I'm not forgiving on the throttle when I back up in the timber and nothing has grenaded. Basically I rev, dump clutch and flail the tires. I suppose a 270lb guy shouldn't do that to a tranny. Ground out the white wire with the green stripe going to the CDI and presto, no reverse limiter.
