Default warrior questions???

People always rag on the warriors, but they actually can be quite capable of many things. The warrior is more of a torque tuned engine unlike the new quads, so they can be very fun on extremely rough trails and can get through nasty situations that other rev tuned quads can't. There are some things that need to be beefed up on a warrior though, the whole intake and exhaust system and the width/suspension setup. The narrower profile of the warrior can be a good thing on the trails however, so the suspension alone may be fine. The warrior can easily be widened and fit in tight places though. The stock pipe on the warrior definately must go, and their nasty air filter setup must be replaced with a clamp on style such as pro design's model. If you really want to bring it alive go with a good carb such as Edelbrock, but that might be too pricey depending on your budget. Keep in mind that in racing they will have a tough time matching a stock z400 (can keep up with em' with my setup when they are in stock form still) but rule on super twisty and downright cruel trails. Jumping can be a prob with the stock huge tires, and without a suspension upgrade. I can do somewhat decent jumps now but the landing can be rough sometimes with the stock shocks. Overall the warrior is very capable and very strong on the trails, but has a tough time matching stock new z400's and other larger new quads 400+ cc's. You can blow away a 400EX in stock form, which will definately cause some frowns on their face! I've rode with 400EX's and z400's for 2 years now w/my friends so take my word for it.

i got my 2000 warrior for $2250 and it runs like new.

anyway, remember that the warrior has reverse from all 6 gears, EX doesn't have reverse and only 5 gears.

Default warrior questions???

im from ottawa, canada.. im so confused on the subject, i got friends telling me to get the warrior i got friends tellin me to get the 400EX i dont want to spend 6700$ on a quad brand new tho 6700 is how much it cost here for the EX im not sure yet on the cost for the warrior but ill soon find out, i was almost considering getting a blaster, cuz i wass told it is faster then the warrior , very good bang for the buck, but i find its too small, good if you short but im 6foot so its not my cup of tea, soo all i can hopefor is fiinding a nice 400EX for 4000$ or less or i might end up with the warrior i dont want to spend more than 4000$

and if i do end up with the warrior , are there any suspension kits for em?? cuz i was also told that they like to bottom out a lot , whats the average price for em' as well , cuz right now come to think about it, before i do any tuning i would want to set up my suspension
