what is the best raptor jetkit
When it comes to jets, I cannot see why Dynojet or GYT-R is better than the other one. Just because you use the one does not mean the other is worse. In the end, you still have jets, and those jets are set up to work with the kits needle. Do not mix kits, as you will not get the same results.
I personally am running the dynojet kit and have had great success with it. I have also installed these kits into an YFZ 450 and a DS650. They worked great. The reason why I like Dynojet is the instructions you get with it and in all 3 cases I used it, I was damn close to 100% with the 1st try I installed the jets. My friend with the 450 had the GYT-R jets in the bike and it run like cr@p. We installed the Dynojet kit and it worked like a charm, 1st time. I have to add that the guy that installed the GYT-R kit, might not have known how to do it properly and the setting most people used online did not work for his 450.
So, depending what you like to do and what setup your bike is running, each jet kit offers their own advantage.
The Dynojet kit comes with more jets than GYT-R, new needles and slider springs. The kit works great, but I found that it might be useful to have the extra pilot jets if you are going to run an open airbox or heavy airbox mods. It runs fine without the pilots, but I believe the bigger pilots helps to make the low RPM delivery a bit smoother. The kit gave me lots of extra HP and the throttle response is very crisp.
Personally I would go for dynojet, but order some bigger pilots from Yamaha if you open up the airbox.
There is nothing wrong with the GYT-R kit, except with the lack of advice and setup instructions.
Aslo note that Dynojet numbers on the jets are differant that the GYT-R numbers. So don't confuse the two. A 160 Dynojet is not the same as a 160 GYT-R jet.
Dynojet, K&N and I think FMF are the same kit.
