Default Tucker +2, +3 or +4?

I've done a fair amount of reading over the last year about swingarms and still can't decide the best length to buy. I ride mostly woods. My main concerns are lifting the front end over obstacles and how much more difficult it will be to belly over logs and such. I will be transferring ALOT of weight as I weigh 270lbs. Will a 2" be enough to make a difference climbing hills? Is a 4" overkill when it comes to tight riding? I spoke with Jeremy Tucker about it and he says 4" is the way to go, but I'm afraid to blow $600 and wish I had bought a different length. I don't give a rats a$$ about being able to ride a wheelie, but I don't want to plow through cricks with my front tires on the ground either. Any advice from those of you with swingarms or extensions will be appreciated.

if i were you i would defenatly go with the +2 if you ride mostley in the woods the smaller the better anything over 2 will just make it harder it the tight turns but if you just want to go for hill climbing i would go 4

I have the tucker +4 and ride desert/dunes mostly so I'm not sure how tight trail riding would be but.......
The longer swingarm helps a lot in the deep whoops and really keeps the nose down. I would think you shoulnt have any trouble lifting the nose with your size. I didnt notice any significant turning change. This is probably because I have my rear end slightly narrower than the front. This created an oversteer condition and lets the rear end swing around real nice - probably compensating for the longer swing arm. Something to consider.....I cant really say if it would be good in the twisties.....

I like my +4. Dont have a complaint or problem at all. I also have no problem lifting it up when I want to.

I have the JTM 4.5" and it is too long for just everyday riding.......
cool for drag racing...but overkill to just play with....
I would get the +2
that should be plenty

For a stock or a piped Raptor I would go with a +2. My engine has a stage 1 hotcam and 10.75/1 je piston with perfect jetting (<-------key word) and I can bring my front end up at will. I exclusively trail ride nad love my Tucker +4. It's more dependable than my Raptor too.

Thanks for the input, but I still don't know what to do. lol I'll probably end up with +4. A +2 doesn't seem like enough when I have to slow down to dodge trees on steep hills. I've watched my quad cartwheel downhill before and I don't care to see it again.

Think about getting a extension. They are alot less money and as long as your not doing real big jumps you have nothing to worry about. Plus they are great because then you have the option of going back to stock at any time without having to change alot of things.

The extension is overpriced for 2 plates....can't use a rear skid either. Who will ever go back too stock anyways afterwards? Still have the crappy chain adjustment routine with the extension too. I can adjust my chain in 30 seconds and the axle is always perfectly aligned.
