I like to climb fast and don't mind losing a little top end on the flats. Instead of a 2nd gear climb I would prefer to go up in 3rd. What combo do you guys run and what size chain to match?

Are you stock, what gears are you running now, what kind and size tires are you running and what are you climbing?

Right now they are stock sizes 13/40 I have 20" Holeshots and I'm not a "hillclimber" I would just prefer to climb everything a gear higher. I went to Glamis this past weekend and my bike just wasn't climbing everything as quick as I think it should. This is the first step. Thanks for responding.

12/42 should have you pulling the next gear up hard.

Punker- You just as well change the chain while your doing it. THe stock size is ok, you should have plenty of adjustment.

Banrap- Did you have to change chain sizes?
