There's not but one Yammie pic in there [well,...part of anyone anyway], but I know more of you guys in here than in the other forums.......LOL

Just thought I would let you know the pics are up......the quality isn't great in some of them, but better than looking at all those blue squares.

Looking good - what 450 kit do you have and what is your compression with the head milled?

I got the engine done by Billy Scarborogh. He's a Cannondale diehard dirtbike racer from Alabama and I have had him do all my engine work on the Dale since I've had it when it comes to the internal componets.

He also did my mapping. He used to be into some type of auto racing where fuel injection and computers were his specialty. He's also been a part time dirtbike and ATV mechanic for years. It only made sense for him to buy Cannondale bikes.....LOL

He's got a SuperMotard Cannondale bike also under construction that is beyond explanation.

Oh...and as far as the kit is concerned, I think the actual parts came from SouthBay....not sure. I haven't ever asked him.

Thanks warrior226,

I got the red HMF when the quad had the red plastic.
Looked OK then......but really stood out when I put the black plastic on it.

Compression? High comp Southbay piston is 13.8:1 I can't imagine you got the head milled after that and I think their low comp is in the 10's somewhere... any idea?

I really don't know.

thomez,
When the engine blew, it overheated and warped the head. He hadn't realized that and thought there was no need to check because my failure was in the crankshaft assembly.

We were going to get another head for it, but he wanted to see if he couldn't mill it enough to get it straight and do a clay check on the valves first. He did and said it would be fine. I have ran the crap out of this engine since then and having had any problems so far.
The power gains compared to the engine before was unreal....but that could be the piston kit rather than the milling of the head. I don't know since I didn't ride it between the mods because of the bad head seal.

Oh....I will say this. I saw the piston when we had the head off, and it didn't "look" outrageous to me. But I haven't seen the 13.8:1 piston either.

I don't care as long as it stays intact......LOL

badrap02,
Thanks.

Tom,
Hey man. Yeah, I'm back for good. I've been doing great. Glad to see some familiar names.
