You mean 63 Raptordan ? maybe at the crank . Seem a bit high . 48 hp at the rear wheel ( thanks Alpha ). If you look at the dirtbike or the road version first thing you see is dual exhaust and the exit tube looks as large as the stock raptor . pretty good indicator that it breaths better they also are using 2 into1 check this sweet header out protobike also kewl i air intakes on the tank

Guys that think its fake, those 2 pics are not of a quad, they are of the bike that the engine is in, that engine is not in a quad, they are just wondering if since the bike that the original raptor engine came from got redone, that maybe there was a future redo of the Raptor following. The engine is real, but it is not in a Raptor! Just the bike....

That engine looks awesome. although both of those pics are definetly of some type of 2-wheeler (you can tell by the frame) i wouldnt be suprised if Yama eventaully makes a new raptor with it. Yamaha is good for making wild new designs like that. i hope they do honestly. because Fuel Injection is the wave of the future for atvs.

i hate to say this with me being more of a honda guy than yamaha ( i dont hate yamaha, ive owned several), but i can almost garrantee you that they are waiting for honda to get ready to release their 650EX type quad only to 'trump' it with a new 660 fuel injected raptor... it would be a cool quad to have, no doubt.

I bet that Optimum would make an EFI kit for the Raptor - I think they already make one for the 450 dirt bike motor that will probly fit the YFZ.
EFI is cool, my 'Dale has it, it isn't the perfect model of EFI but it is neat for sure. Some improvements can be made to that system - I think the biggest problem with EFI is that so many people at shops around the country do not know hot to use it... and would rather jet a carb than try and figure out a computer. JMO.
