if i remember correctly, the ct claimed a 32hp increase, so dont rely on what the companies, or even magazines give you.

Most people will tell you a stock raptor makes 36 HP. Some might claim 33HP for a stocker. The best HP CT claims is 49HP. That means it gives you a 13 to 16 HP increase at most. If LTE claims 13.5 HP increase and they based it on a 33HP stocker, then it is very possible , giving you a total of 46.5 HP. Sparks told me on the phone that their pipes would make 45HP without airbox mods. Dirtwheels mag agrees with sparks. If you remove the lid and install an aftermarket air filter, you could get up to 47 to 49HP. Same as the claims by CT racing.

If you look at the Dirtwheels exhaust shootout, the top 4 HP makers, CT, Graydon, Trinity and Yoshi where all run with open airboxes, or highly modified lids. If the next 4 biggest HP makers ( Alba, White Brothers e and r series pipes and Sparks) also used the no lid setup, you will have a different top 4 HP makers. All of the top 8 pipes in the shootout with open airboxes will give you a max HP between 49 and 46 HP

If I had to choose the best 4 pipes in the dirwheels shootout, based on smoothness of power delivery (HP curve) CT, Sparks, Yoshi and White Bro's would win hands down in making the smoothest and best HP across the RPM range. All the other pipes in the shootout made spiky and erratic HP.

There is no pipe out there that will give you an extra 32HP increase. It means a raptor will pump out close to 65 HP to 68 HP. Only heavily modified 686's or 727 might give you that sort of HP.

taken from ctracing's raptor web page:

CT Racing Has been working very hard on the Yamaha Raptor. We're proud to announce our exhaust system has the largest Horse Power increase we've ever seen from bolt on kits. This kit consists of our CT Pipe and Disc type spark arrestor, Pro Design Pro Flow air filter kit and jet set. We picked up a minimum of 7 HP at 3000 RPM and 32 HP at 8500. This is a must have kit for the Raptor. Stock HP is just over 33 HP and were hitting almost 50 with this kit. We did our testing on a California model. The end result is the same 49 state models have slightly more HP stock (rumored to be around 37).
CT racing's page

I believe i remembered it correctly.

Edit: the 32hp # comes from gain at near redline. look at the dyno chart on the linked page. its not peak hp gain.

That is incorrect. the graydon shares the headpipe with the ct. the alba/ct share nothing except a supertrapp design.

btw, my 2 friends who have purchased alba pipes, hated them. they lost to my ct piped raptor with identical setups and switched riders. they sold them within 2 months of ordering them. not to mention they sound like crap. But hey, if there are people out there happy with them, good for you.
