Riding my y2k this last weekend noticed shifting out of 4-wheel drive on the fly I feel and hear a clunk in drivetrain 5-10 seconds after shifting out.
Anybody have any ideas or experience the same condition??? Only 2 months old.

 

The dealership advises against on the fly shifting. I wouldn't do it on mine. It's not that a big a deal to stop and put it in/out.

 

Mine does the same thing. All you have to do is once to take it out of 4x4 go slow till you here the noise then go on. if you here no noise then don't worry about it but drive slow for about 10ft once out of 4x4. Later
