Default Speedometer for Wolverine

What's the best type of speedometer to get for an '04 Wolverine? I like the looks of TrailTech products, but they don't make one specifically for the Wolverine. I'm told, however, that you can use the one made for the Raptor, Warrior, Banshee, etc. and it'll fit just fine. Anyone know if this is true?

Ive had a bicycle speedo on mine for years, works great and it was cheap. If you are not concerned with total miles(odometer), a basic GPS will work great and with the plus of navigating.

Two questions regarding the GPS approach to the spedo.

1. Is there a nice adapter (handlebar mount?) or other type you can buy?
2. Do the electronics hold up to the heavy vibration loads during riding?

I was thinking about a spedo and was considering Trail Tech but have always wanted a GPS.

I have a Yamaha factory add on speedo kit on mine. It works well, and I was able to buy it well under retail via Fleabay.

Having said that, the Schwinn bike speedo that I have on the wife's bike works just as well, for less money, and was a simpler installation. At $30, it was cheap, and is still working 3 years later, albeit with a couple battery changes.

I use the RAM mount for the handlebars. They are GPS brand/model specific.

I haven't had any issues due to vibration. Think my Magellan is shock proof

check out www.gpscity.com and www.cycoactive.com (for the RAM mounts)

Thanks for the replys. What I'm most interested in, I guess, is the amount of hours and miles I put on the machine. The Yamaha hour meter only tells you hours, but it's also just $37. But it'd be nice to have all the other functionality the TrailTech offers, plus, I want it to look good when it's mounted
