On paper, and not being able to inspect the quads ourselves, my opinion is that the Raptor seems to be the best bang for the buck. If you took the difference between the Raptor and the Z400, ($550) you could pipe the Raptor, and maybe a few other accessories, and have a lot more ccs available for handing out whoopass.

you double posted first. second you said it was an 03 z and then you said it was a brand new 04 z which is it, and why is a brand new quad with mods $1699 less than the original $5699 at the dealer? 416ex or 400ex you should make up your mind!but I wish like hell i could of got a deal like that if it is true.

I would look at the Z and the Rappy and see what mods are done on the Z and cost of mods. Look at the shape of the machines and take it from there. I would normally say Rappy right away but the Z is a nice machine and there would be no reason buying a beat up Rappy when you can get a modded Z in good shape..OR vice versa! Take the best machine for the money!
