Different parts conlude of.........
One Way Starter Clutch
One Way Starter Gear
Flywheel
CDI Box
Vendor changes and insignificant design changes for 2004 on certain parts changed the pricing on a few items for this year........
Silencer Endcap
Frame
SubFrame
Rear Brake Caliper Assembly
CamChain
These parts, from what I saw are identical to the 2003 models.

maddog,
The oneway pieces had a part number change in what we call "the middle 5". It is an actual updated part that will not work without the others that mate to it. In this case, the Flywheel,Gear, and Clutch would have to be changed at one time.
However, I am not sure of this fixing the problem with previous Raptors. Only time will tel that.
They have updated the intake boots on the BigBear a half dozen times since 1987 along with a few vendor changes along the way.........and you can still count on replacing it after 3 to 4 years, if not sooner.
I have no idea whatsoever about the CDI box. It has a different label, but the same vendor and same plug from what I could tell.
May not be significant.....but I don't take chances on non-returnable electrical parts that run about $130.00.....LOL

Thanks for the parts update. Its good to know what changes and what doesnt, especially when you have an old (03) machine and want replacements.

I talked to a service rep from the Atlanta division of Yam today about the one way clutch changes and he said it was a product update but nothing that non-current owners of Raptors should be worried about.
10 minutes of chat and that's all I got.
When I get these pieces in hand, I'll do a little comparo myself.
